Born in the Island of Puerto Rico, I was raised surrounded and influenced by music and dances. I experienced culture and artistic traditions through my family, school, music on the radio and festivals in the town plazas! Professionally-trained and mentored by many of the original instructors who pioneered the transition of Salsa from the streets to the studios and stage, I am a member of the first generation of instructors and choreographers who began the evolution and introduction of this neo genre to the Salsa conferences and festivals around the globe.
